Purpose

Abakkus All Cap Approach follows a benchmark agnostic diversified all cap portfolio strategy with fundamental research based investing and a bottom up stock selection process guided by the MEETS framework. The approach aims to generate alpha and long term wealth creation by investing in companies with sustainable business models, high ROEs and growth potential, typically with a 3 to 5 year holding period. Large cap allocation is based on a benchmark agnostic top down sector view focusing on stability, while alpha is generated through exposure to the broader market by identifying fundamentally underpriced companies with reasonable growth expectations. The portfolio is diversified yet relatively concentrated with typically about 30 to 40 stocks, with a single stock exposure limit of about 10 percent of portfolio value and sector exposure limit of about 30 percent. Investments are selected based on management quality, earnings potential, structural opportunity, events or trends and timing considerations. Example holdings include companies such as State Bank of India, Larsen and Toubro, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Vedanta and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries which represent diversified business models. Sector agnostic. Market cap combination of large cap, mid cap and small cap with allocation broadly tilted towards large caps with participation from mid and small caps.
