Maximal Income Fund follows an income oriented investment approach aimed at generating stable cashflows with potential for moderate capital appreciation through investments in income generating securities. The strategy takes a broad based approach by investing in ordinary shares, REITs, INVITs and other instruments with relatively predictable distributions and credible management. The investment philosophy emphasises value investing and margin of safety while focusing on securities that provide stable and predictable cashflows combined with potential growth in distribution per unit through new acquisitions or expansion of underlying assets. Portfolio construction emphasises investments in top rated exchange traded instruments with a focus on AAA rated or similarly high rated securities to maintain stability of income streams while balancing current yield with growth potential. The strategy allocates capital toward asset classes such as REITs and INVITs which benefit from factors like rent escalation, increase in number of projects and infrastructure expansion that can support rising distribution income over time. The portfolio focuses on securities offering better tax adjusted yields and avoids instruments offering very high yields at the cost of capital security while also emphasising low beta securities and stable distributions.
