Nikhil is a seasoned professional with almost three decades of experience across leading banks and asset managers in India. He has headed the India businesses for global asset managers such as Alliance Capital, ABN AMRO and BNP Paribas. During some of these stints, Nikhil served on the Indian Boards of these firms whilst also actively contributing as a member of their Asian Management teams. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). Nikhil's vast experience across various domains within the Indian financial sector gives him valuable insights into interlinkages between credit and equity markets. He founded Trivantage Capital to take advantage of the exciting investment opportunities emerging from a rapidly evolving financial sector that offered a range of investment choices across small finance banks, micro-finance non-bank lenders, asset & wealth managers, insurers, brokerages etc. Digitisation and use of analytics based on rapid improvements in data availability with credit bureaus were making inroads into the sector and were set to expand the investible universe. Nikhil believed that the time had come for the listed Indian financial services space to be managed by specialist investment managers. At Trivantage Capital, Nikhil has been the portfolio manager of various equity strategies since Feb 2016. During this period, he has built a proprietary investment model for stock selection that blends his assessment of various qualitative and quantitative screeners. Nikhil is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
